Working with animals requires patience and understanding, both for the animal and for their owners. Our staff is committed to strengthening the pet/family bond through preventive medicine and client education. We invite you to allow us to become your partner in providing care for your pet.
OUR MISSION
Our Mission is to provide standard veterinary care for pets. Our veterinarians provide urgent care services for injuries and illnesses. We also offer a well-equipped in-house laboratory and digital X-ray services in order to get rapid reviews from the radiologist if needed. We utilize the safest anesthetics available. The patient’s vital signs are monitored with multi function vital signs monitor during all the anesthetic procedures. We offer routine spays and neuters for dogs, cats at discounted prices. We also provide services for majority of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

MEET THE TEAM

DR. HARDEEP KATARIA
Dr. Hardeep Kataria is the owner and founder of Twin Rivers Animal Hospital. He established this hospital in Kamloops in 2013.
Dr. Kataria completed his schooling in 1999 and then he did his masters in veterinary pathology in 2002 and then he joined as Assistant Professor in the University for 8 years. He has 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine. He worked in lower mainland and Vancouver area as an associate before he decided to settle in Kamloops. I like the demography and communities in Kamloops. Dr Kataria has interest in small animal internal medicine, soft tissue surgeries and preventive veterinary medicine.

KAYLA MCKAY
Kayla grew up in Revelstoke, BC with a love for animals. After having two children, Kayla decided it was time to put that love of animals into a career so she completed a 9 month program in Kelowna for Veterinary Hospital Assistant. Shortly after she moved her family to Kamloops and joined our team. In her spare time Kayla enjoys many outdoor activies with her family and working on her photography skills.

SHELBI SCUK
REGISTERED VET TECHNICIAN
Shelbi graduated the tech program in Fairview, Alberta in the Spring of 2016. She moved to Kamloops and came to Twin Rivers in November. She lives at home with her hedgehog, Jorge, and her sister. Shelbi enjoys spending lots of time outside and with any animals her friends will let her borrow. She enjoys working with all types of animals and previously worked with large animals for 4 years.

CHLOE
VET ASSISTANT
Chloe grew up on a farm in Little Fort, BC where she had experience raising and handling all sorts of animals, large and small. She moved to Kamloops in 2014 after graduating secondary school in Barriere, BC. and continued to work with animals by volunteering at Twin Rivers Animal Hospital on her days off. Eventually she took a full time positions at the practice where she is able to pursue her passion of caring for animals. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her dog and spending time with friends and family.

MAVERICK
MASCOT
Meet Maverick – our enigmatic mascot! Maverick enjoys hanging around the clinic, lounging, and checking out all the comings and goings. Mavericks hobbies include chasing things, smelling things, and snoozing. Maverick has a bachelor degree in cuteness, and is a visitor favourite. Be sure to say hello when you visit us next!
