Is it safe to put a microchip into my pet?

Microchipping is a safe and easy way to permanently ID your pet. The microchip is usually placed in between their shoulder blades. Your pet may feel a slight pinch from the needle as we implant the microchip under their skin. Other than that, the procedure is quick and painless. Our team will ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure.

How does the microchip work?

After the microchip is implanted, we scan and register it into a database with a unique microchip number. As a form of ID, your pet’s medical history and your most up-to-date contact information are put onto the microchip. If your pet gets lost, any veterinary clinic or animal shelter can scan the microchip to ID your pet and retrieve your contact information. This is why your contact information must always be up-to-date should it change. This way, you can easily be contacted and reunited with your loyal family member as soon as possible.
