Vaccines for Puppies & Dogs

Protect your dog from illnesses with a customized immunization schedule.

The best and easiest way to keep on top of your pet’s health is to schedule their vaccinations regularly. This allows us to protect your pet from diseases and parasites that can be harmful to their health and, if left untreated, can potentially be fatal. Book your dog’s vaccination appointment by giving us a call at 250-828-2939.

Why should I vaccinate my puppy/dog?

Vaccines build their immune system, which is always on guard to protect them against serious illnesses. Whether at home or on a thrilling adventure, your pet can pick up pests and parasites from anywhere. Vaccines prevent them from contracting and spreading harmful diseases to other pets and humans. Some diseases vaccines work to prevent include:

  • Adenovirus (hepatitis)
  • Bordetella (kennel cough)
  • Distemper
  • Parvovirus
  • Parainfluenza
  • Rabies

How often should I get my dog vaccinated?

We recommend bringing your puppy in for their first vaccines around 8 to 12-weeks-old. They will continue to receive a series of vaccines until they are 3 to 4-months-old. Once they’ve received their vaccines as puppies, we recommend bringing them in for their boosters every 1 to 3 years. This all depends on your pet’s individual health needs, environment, and lifestyle. Our veterinarians are more than happy to create a preventative vaccination plan with you that is tailored to your pet’s needs.
